 The Pintadu firm of Caterina Pintadu Pintadu di Maria Caterina Pintadu opened in 2004 in a little centre of the Logudoro, situated in a hilly area near the lake Coghinas, at the slopes of the “Su Sassu” mountain. The area in which our products are cultivated, picked up, worked and packed/wrapped became the environmental certification of excellence. Thanks to the initiative of a young girl it could be possible to mix the traditional recipes (which have been hand down from generation to generation) with the new legislation about hygiene and quality of the job. In this way she obtained the exaltation of the alimentary products typical of our region, either wild or not. The aim of this project is to safeguard and to revalue the typical products, like: wild thistle, wild asparaguses, mushrooms and many more, which are the characteristic of this firm.  Our firm is one of the less which uses only natural alimentary products and so it doesn’t use any type of preservative even if it guaranteed a long expiration. In 2005 the firm gave assent at the initiative of the Provincial Administration of Sassari (in collaboration with the Temporary Association of the Enterprise which has been constituted by the Department of the environmental and agricultures sciences and the alimentary biotechnology of the University of Sassari, by I.T.E.M. S.r.l. and by Albatros & Associati) because it agrees with the project to allow the tourists to discover a territory rich of history and culture and which has rare and precious eno-gastronomic treasures. The element which gathered all the realities is the mark “La Strada del Gusto del Nord Sardegna” (The Taste Street of the Northern Sardinian), that certificated genuineness of the offered productions. |
